Installations ... B&M Shifter

Pictured right in the original stock shifter that came with the car. Next will be to remove the center console and replace the shifter with a B&M shifter which has a shorter throw making shifting tighter.

Here is a picture after removing the console. To remove the console, first removed the center piece. then removed 2 bolts in the very front and 1 bolt in the storage area. Pull the parking brake up as far as you can. Tilt the console from the rear and raise it over the parking brake.

Pictured right is the new B&M shifter installed with the dust boot installed. The original dust boot was used from the stock shifter.

Pictured left is the new B&M shifter install completed. I will admit it was harder replacing the console then taking removing it.

Pictured right is the stock shifter to the right and the B&M shifter to the left.  Notice the difference in shaft height.
